Most resorts have slashed prices in half over the past few months for our dates! I noticed the first serious drops at around 4 months out but haven’t been able to detect any pattern as to what drops when. I’m still checking regularly and prices are changing daily/mulptiple times per day – it’s wild.

I’ll be happy with either of the two options I’m currently holding, all booked at FL resident rates, which I believe is the same as AP rate:
– Option 1 is 5 nights at SF for $1053 (we’d also buy a 1 night “ghost stay” at RPR for $288 to get UXP for 4 people for 2 days, so total cost of this option is $1341)
– Option 2 for a split stay of 2 nights PBF ($657) and 3 nights Helios ($1036) for a total cost of $1693.

I’ll still keep checking for better deals and then choose one of those two options a couple of weeks before our trip. If anyone has thoughts on which is better, don’t hesitate to share.

The only advice I can offer is to book immediately if you see a good rate, as it may be gone a few hours later. You can cancel easily (for a full refund) if you end up changing your dates or canceling your trip.

The most annoying thing for me has been having to cancel and rebook whenever new rates pop up, rather than just being allowed to modify an existing booking (as you can do at WDW).

I plugged in the same dates for this summer and I’m getting an average of $280 per night.

The article is correct in that there are low rates here ($160-$180) during the week, but the price of weekends is around $400. I don’t remember there being nearly such a discrepancy in the past.

Very possible this is not the case elsewhere.

If you were to book for mid/end of September, would you wait to see if the same kind of prices are going to show up?

I thought September was typically quite slow and I’m surprised their discounts ends on the 3rd of September.

It was over 3x that during our stay in January, which is why we ended up at Stella Nova. It ended up being perfect for our Epic Universe-focused trip, it’s by no means a resort hotel but great for what it is and the 10 minute walk to Epic is hard to argue with!
