I would imagine it’ll die down to some extent, but I also don’t think it was as bad in the first place as a normal attraction would’ve been simply by virtue of the age constraint. Yes, bloggers, vloggers and influencers were all over it, but most regular locals were not.

If it’s even 50% to 75% this bad on a regular day…that’s still pretty bad! I actually suspect it’ll be above 75% given how quickly the VQs filled up. What we saw today was not 100% of demand–it was 100% of those who got VQ spots, and many (most?) guests got shut out.

Otherwise this way to hack (cheat) the system would be all over social media in about a nanosecond.

I’ve read a couple of reports about how opening day went, and it was tough (e.g., 50 minute queue once you got off the train until your show was called), but one can hope that will die down. As you said, but maybe not, because Bluey’s popularity cannot be overstated. My grands are aging out of the Bluey cohort and we certainly aren’t going to spend that amount of time to see the Heelers if it’s still like this when we’re there in July. Had the kids been two years younger, we would be more inclined to try. Yes, definitely the Beatles and Taylor Swift of the toddler/preschool set!

Thanks, Tom! We don’t go until November so a lot can change before then.

Here’s hoping that I’m overestimating demand/capacity/friction for this, and it all dies down quickly. But having a toddler and seeing firsthand how popular Bluey is…I’m skeptical.

The more likely scenario is WDW relaxes rules on visiting Conservation Station to make it accessible to guests who don’t care about Bluey.

Even though there’s no scanner to board the Wildlife Express Train, Cast Members will verify that your VQ boarding group has been called (and you are within your hour window) before allowing you to board the Wildlife Express Train.

That is the official policy as of today. It’s always possible you could receive an exception (especially first thing in the morning or later in the day) or that the policy could change, but that’s where things stand officially as of May 26th.

I would expect this to evolve in the days and weeks to come, so unless you’re visiting in the next couple of weeks, you might hold off on reading more until closer to your trip. I really think this is going to be like Rise of the Resistance all over again, in the sense that there isn’t perfect precedent for this and WDW Ops will adapt as they learn from experience.

Another fan site said the animals and vet areas can be accessed without the queue since magic bands are only checked to join the actual line for Bluey. Thanks for your help!
