Sarah & Tom, absolutely love the blog, been so helpful over the years. Question – where is your best summary of things to do/events between Christmas and New Year’s Day at WDW? I know the official Christmas parties are over, but there are still a number of things going on. Thanks much.

Who’s talking smack about “Wonderful Christmastime?” I will hunt you down. lol But seriously, and as I’ve stated before, Jollywood Nights holds no appeal at all for us. It will always be Mickey at Christmas!

I’m not sure if ‘Crowds’ addresses this, but it might be worth adding a category for those who are picking one of these to replace a regular park day. I did this with my parents for Jollywood in 2023, and it was an incredible way for them to experience Hollywood Studios for the first time with minimal friction and lots of good rest points via shows and food/snack stops. I enjoyed it a lot more than taking my friends to Magic Kingdom for the Halloween Party for their one day visit, since it was so packed the whole time we didn’t get any bonus on rides OR entertainment – we could never get close enough to see anything well without fighting or camping, neither of which were good uses of our park time.

I never did any Disney party until last year when I did both Christmas parties opening weekend.

As two adult couples, we enjoyed Jollywood more.
Great shows, great atmosphere, interesting characters and lower crowds.

MVMCP did not feel as special. Lines for characters were very long. It’s not as if we have never seen fireworks at Magic Kingdom before — I’m of the subjective belief that there really isn’t a huge difference between shows.

Not that MCMVP was bad, far from it. But it felt more like a minor twist on a regular Magic Kingdom visit, while Jollywood really felt like something different.

I am hoping they will offer early entry to DVC members for the MVMCP this year like in years past. We aren’t annual pass holders for the first time in 6-7 years and having to buy tickets- our plan is to only buy party tickets for one of our park days instead of adding the fourth day to our standard ticket. In 2021 DVC members were allowed in at 2pm instead of 4pm. Has anyone heard if that is still a thing?

In reply to Rachael. I'm hoping Disney will post new hours for November soon, because right now, there's no Extra Evening Hours for Magic Kingdom, only for Epcot.
