I read someone idea of using the old 3D theater to house and bring back the great Muppets 3D movie. This would help spread out crowds and put to good use to a little used area, also the Muppets are so much funnier than the boring short films currently playing.

Another thought I just had: in the past I’ve been limiting myself to rides I knew or thought I would like. More recently I’ve been trying new ones, with some pleasant surprises. I think if I was that bothered by closures it probably means I haven’t found enough other things to do, which really there should be no shortage of.

I forgot to check refurbishments until after I booked so I was reading with some anxiety. ‘Ruined my vacation’ probably means closures were never checked. If one of my top rides, or maybe 3 or more of my most ridden rides was closed I’d reschedule. “Reimagining” my favorite rides makes me uneasy, but general maintenance is a good thing. Disney set a high standard, it’s nice knowing they’re trying to (get back to) maintaining it.

Disney was clear about hotel maintenance when I booked, maybe better messaging to check the ride closures would be helpful.

I agree that it’s better they do maintenance than not. Maybe they should just bite the bullet with Disco Yeti since Animal Kingdom is in rough shape anyway.
