Honest question-why does it take Disney so much longer than Universal to complete projects? I don’t understand how Universal was able to finish Epic Universe in a shorter time frame.

When will the full loop for the railroad be open? Does villains land need to be complete before the railroad can get back to “normal?” The track seems to be completely gone in the February 2026 construction photos.

I’m looking at all of this with great hopes that once a few of the majors get opened, then we will finally hear that WDW will set their sites on revitalizing Tomorrow Land. It’s such a sad area to walk thru. It reminds me of that site in Disneyland in 1962 when I was young and it was exciting. Today it’s an emptish space of mostly old time rides. So sad

Now that you mention it, Tom, I think there’s a decent chance of Cars and Villains Land opening at the same time at MK. I’m sure there’s been a lot of internal debate at Disney already about how to market Villains Land and the fear that it will be perceived as too scary for some of the MK audience, even if that’s not what it actually ends up being.

Pairing it with a kid-friendly blockbuster offering like Piston Peak would allow them to message the openings as offering something for (almost) everyone. It would also spread out demand through the two new lands. That would help decrease negative first impressions/negative word of mouth due to long wait times or the “scariness” of Villains, and allow all sorts of money making opportunities for early entry access to the new lands and so forth.

In reply to Alana Reynolds. I will be going to Walt Disney World this year . I am looking forward to going on some of the rides . Some of the rides I wish could have stayed.
