Same. I went to Disney World as a kid around 2006-ish and the GM factory setting was absolutely awesome! It felt like you were really there! I went back later in high school to find it overhauled into a digital gameshow, where the focus was no longer on how real-world cars are tested but rather on testing a fake, virtual car. The experience no longer felt authentic. They also weren’t pushing the “all-electric” agenda in the original version. I don’t believe that going full electric is the answer to the problem. It solves one problem but introduces many new ones. Let’s say a restaurant wants to lower the number of injuries reported. If, after 6 months, the number of fall injuries has decreased, but the number of burns has increased, then they really didn’t get anywhere. The same goes for relying solely on electric power for cars.

I get motion sickness on a LOT of rides. I even get sick sometimes when I am not the actual driver of my own car on trips. My daughter gets motion sickness easily as well. Neither one of us has ever had a problem on test track.

I haven’t ridden 3.0 but its the same track system. It previously had spots of acceleration, then quick stops and turns. The outside part would definitely upset upset your vertigo.

The trip thru the factory, testing antilock brakes, the paint booth and the cobblestone road was an awesome experience for those that do not know how vehicles a built and then tested for safety. Test Track used to be a “got to” do attraction at Epcot. The last two versions and this version have turned it into a “Not to do” attraction. I doubt I will waste my time waiting in line on my next visit. Bob Iger and his team has ruined what was once a cutting edge and inspiring park]

I’m going to Disney in October and December. I know you’ve mentioned that your wife gets motion sickness. I’ve only been to Disney once last October each day I got braver and braver with rides but was still not sure about some rides and feel like I missed out on the best rides. I have vertigo caused by vestibular right ear weakness. It took months of therapy before I could even drive again. I would love for you to make a post about which rides would cause motion sickness for people like us. I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate that.

It still felt like the same old thing I’ve done a dozen times so couldn’t get excited about standing in line for 2 hours.
