I missed out on the lush and beautiful lobby, and the new DVC tower is atrocious. I loathe Disney’s current “fancy storage unit chic” design book that makes everything look like a default building in The Sims.

As a once-in-a-lifetime holiday with a budget I would 100 % agree with Pop Century right now. If we ever get back we might go for Art of Animation or Caribbean but as we hit all four parks in a week POP was perfect for us.

It felt Disney and using the Skyliner, watching fireworks from the Gap of Generations bridge, great arcade and having pool next to room and still on quiet side were just small perks after perks in a value hotel.

Best vacation ever and special thanks to store manager Ron who always asked how we had been and what we had done. Cast members were diamonds.

We are going to WDW fir my daughter’s graduation trip. We haven’t been since pre-covid and all my kids are older now. 22, 18, and 16. We were originally going to go all out and stay at the GF, but her boyfriend who is also graduating found out he could join us, which we are excited about. We are just bummed bc now we have to move resort to AofA due to party size and space. And we won’t get the benefit of Extended Park Hours. But it does have the skyliner. I just worry it will look to “kidsy” to my kids now they are older.

@Samantha Pryor we stayed at Saratoga Springs last summer and I didn’t find the buses to take too long (we really aren’t anti-bus though and kind of like the AC break they provide), however if you are planning on doing midday naps you might be better off somewhere you can walk, boat, or skyliner so at least one park is easy to leave and return to although we used to bus back to different resorts for naps with few issues.
If you do stay at SS, I highly recommend staying at Grandstand area and/or getting on at the Grandstand stop. Even though you have to ride through and stop at the other internal stops you will generally be guaranteed a seat for the toddler and you will also not be met with a full bus, especially since there are a great number of scooters loading onto the buses at SS.
A big advantage to SS and a toddler is the access to free laundry facilities. If you do a 1BR or larger the washer and dryer is IN YOUR ROOM – gamechanger. There are also some pretty sweet splash pads near the pool that the littles love.

Do you find the bus transportation to be long to get to the parks? We have a toddler and trying to decide between that and POP.

“And in the main lobby the cases filled with decade items is fun to look at.”

We’ve got some bad news about that… 🙁
