Although I felt quite bad when they took away MuppetVision, I also think this could be good for the Muppets! Think about it: The movie was cute and diehard fans went to see it but at the same time, it was a movie— and it had really turned into a place where people could cool off during the heat of the day.

This could be a destination that new people could meet the Muppets! The ride seemed pretty popular, so maybe they’ll get some new exposure? Fingers crossed! <3

As a huge Muppets fan I love all this stuff, but the news also makes me sad. There are so many things pulled from MuppetVision 3D, and I desperately want that attraction to be re-created. The problem is not that there aren’t props/audio-animatronics to spare, because we know there were extra copies from DCA, and any of these could be lovingly reproduced for a future MV3D location if necessary.

My concern is that they’re pulling so much from MV3D that it would seem weirdly duplicative/redundant to have the same items, and even the same Statler/Waldorf PUNCHLINES, in a future return of MV3D next door at Sunset Showcase. I think it’s now pretty clear that MV3D is now in the “Disney World nostalgia” category and isn’t ever coming back to DHS. I hope it can exist again somewhere in the future, in all its glory. The experience, and its audiences, deserves that.

sitting on a plane today, 5/20, at 10:52 am with our whole family of 5 headed to WDW for our Muppet obsessed daughter’s birthday!! So excited!
